CAPITALIZING ON EASTER WITHOUT CULPA

March 21, 2008 by Julian Garcia

The Easter arrived and with it comes that excuse to attack the chocolate eggs of all types and sizes, after all ... No problem, it is Easter!
But and diet? Will has no problem passing a few days if smear of chocolate not only to make undone the Easter bunny?
Of course not need to escape this torture and delight, because in addition to leaving happier because of their substance that stimulates the production of serotonin (neurotransmitter that helps to combat depression and anxiety and stimulate the centers of pleasure and wellness), the chocolate egg is also tradition and it is almost impossible to resist that temptation. But beware! None of that can be used as an excuse to blow the diet.
The chocolate is a highly caloric food and have large amounts of saturated fat, mainly in chocolate milk and white, so should be consumed in moderation.
But the bitter chocolate offers health benefits, because it is rich in flavonoids and gallic acid, which are potent antioxidants, which help protect the blood vessels, prevent cancer and promote heart health. It also has vitamins A, B, C, D and E and minerals such as iron and phosphorous.
So it's time to give quick getaway and to surrender to the delicious taste of chocolate, is also the time to use common sense and make more appropriate choices, such as bitter chocolate, or ways in quantity, limited to 25-50g per day - until the end of Easter egg! And do not leave aside the physical activities, and thus you're making your holiday of Easter and at peace with your health!

Good Easter to everyone!
