A SENSE OF METROSSEXUAL

July 31, 2008 by Gabriel Aguilar

Throughout the history of mankind the male figure always had a very prominent role. We came from a highly sexist thinking and theories confirmed by the Jewish-Christian beliefs and that women have to be deployed in many moments have always been blurred by so called "sex-strong". This "sex" which states that any demonstration that evacuate the social conventions established by them, by good "macho", is considered a diversion and at worst a viadagem.
Raising the flag of the transgression of these agreements is macho, more thanks to this media and new technologies, a style of men, the "strong sex", as affirmed in essence, what is different from the "standards" set by society: the METROSSEXUAL .

How good linguist, I must show my admiration for having consulted two of the most important dictionaries in Brazil (omit the names not to take any kind of legal process) and in none of them be found before the end said. A term which in fact consists of two glossaries, one being a prefix, with the meaning of antepositivo of Greek origin, METRO, and the other is an adjective that refers to gender and / or sex, SEXUAL. I believe that the assertion Bakhtin now is necessary to understand why the importance of adopting a term in our current dictionaries: "the language lives and develops historically in verbal communication which is not in the language of abstract forms of the language or the psyche individual speakers. " The collective has imposed a series of social behavior that formed the heterosexual definition. Everyone understands the meaning of the lexicon. But when they hear talk of METROSSEXUAL think in a sense all wrong; calls for Bakhtin again claiming that the language is a socio-ideological and therefore all "which is ideological has a meaning and refers to something outside of himself" ... Because it is expensive METROSSEXUAIS not feel a ghetto sidelined by social renderings macho ... Bakhtin came save them with your words, just think a little in the two mentioned. Heterosexuals? I have some questions:
Who was the man who invented the jump?
Who wore makeup in the XVII and XVIII centuries? Only men or women too?
The Greek culture worship the body more masculine or feminine? Why the competitors in the Olympics (only men) participated naked?
That "male" in this life despise a good French perfume?
From a technical standpoint, what can be considered more viadagem? Getting delirious to watch 22 men running after a ball, or a series of care to be more, more, how do I say "presentable"?

Answers? Yet accepted other suggestions ...

Resuming the formal part of our subject, samples of METROSSEXUALIDADE can be found at various moments in history. What changed was the fluency in information exchange, which has meant that the cult of beauty lovers and the body, were becoming more evident and there were more supporters.

And it is within this fast flow of information that Gustavo, maintainer of this blog, try to gather supporters and sympathizers to this type of worship ... agree that it is much better if the self-cultuar that participate in many churches around that worship Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson and similar. Enjoy it!

Is twisted because soon the Real Academia Brasileira de Letras, dicionarize that term. Showing that these lands of Santa Cruz, there is, indeed, any discrimination.
